This set I made in August for a festival!

The fit of the top is derived from a late Victorian pattern, adjusted to own design. Bustle and petti are late victorian inspired, free of design.

Also, I made a new style of picture, one front picture and a tiny of the back. Just for variation, I hope you like it!

Daily Deviation

Given 2012-06-20
It was hard to pick one deviation from *MarjoleinTurin's gallery as it is filled with gorgeous pieces of Victorian-inspired clothing. Her choice of shape, fabric, colour and embellishment is impeccable and I think that 3 piece 2, dress, bustle, blouse, Somnia Romantica shows it. Is there any possibility I could buy this? :squee:

Aw, hadn't I responded yet? Yes it would be possible, but the fabric of the top is no longer available. Also, an outfit like this starts at, say, 320 dollars and goes up from there (this one would be around 450)! If you're interested, feel free to contact me!

hehe I would love it but I'd have to wait for a while especially because the I can't really think of when I would use it. XD

The dress is absolutely stunning. I bet it would look just as great if it were a dark blue!

Thank you so much :) Yes, if I could find a beautiful fabric in dark blue, which is not easy..well, I found a lovely deep dark blue lace: [link] but it's not available anymore :( But I always keep looking around for laces in lovely colours :)

That's a gorgeous piece. The lace is really pretty too. *nodnod* I have a corset I got from Hot Topic roughly three years ago. I can't bring myself to get rid of it even though some of the loops for the rib ties are broken. I have a short matching skirt that goes with it. I just wanted to look around to see if there was something somewhere I could use to replace it. That piece caught my attention and I even edited the picture a little to see what it would look like with the dark blue instead of the red. I thought it was quite nice (don't worry, I didn't bring it to the internet when I finished. It was for pure entertainment).
However, that lace is gorgeous. There are a couple of craft stores here that sell tons of fabrics (Joanne's and Hancock's). Lovely places. The old ladies love my hair. =D
This is a little long for a comment on a dress, isn't it? ^^;;

:) Nothing wrong with trying out what something would look like. I'm making colour variations in my head too, when I see pieces from other people. The biggest catch always is the material. But, when searching long enough I sometimes stumble upon something really great. Like a lace trim I bought yesterday...bought over 250 yards of it, I couldn't help myself :o (well, I have an excuse as this is my profession...:D )
Love that sort of shops with all kind of great pieces and kind old ladies :) I wish I could visit those shops :)
