Murcia dress with matching skirt (model Alicante)... :) The fit is derived from a late victorian pattern, however, the feel is more based on Edwardian evening wear.

I made this design before, but I'm seriously proud of how this one turned out (it's the first one with matching underskirt) and I wished I could keep it myself, it's the last bit of this fabric :o (the fabric is however still available in white!)...but...it's just shipped out to a customer in the US. Hope she'll be happy ^^

Oh my. I started looking at your gallery after I saw your piece that received today's DD, and I must say I love your work. I've always been partial to this style of clothing... I think I'm going to have to watch you, now.

Anyways, that necklace on the mannequin looks quite familiar. I think I actually have one exactly like it... bahaha.

Btw, about the necklace, can you recall where you bought it? I bought mine in Prague, but I know it;s more out there... I get annoyingly many times the question in my webshop where I bought that necklace :D

I live in America, so I don't know if we have the same franchises as Europe. But I believe I got it at a shop called Claire's that specializes in accessories, jewelry, makeup, etc.

Ah, I know Claire's we also have one in this city! I love that shop, I buy many hair accessories there.
Well, this one is of expensive material so 1. probably mine will last longer 2. Probably I paid way more :D

How absolutely gorgeous. I am speechless :) I can't fathom working with clothing in this fashion; the closest thing to a fabric design I have done is the quilt I'm making out of old pajama pants, ha.

So beautiful!!
